Tends toward TMI, so here's the short list: guitar and banjo (both of which have been much neglected as of late), bicycling (ibid), dogs, very black tea, and contemplating and commenting on deep philosophical thoughts about which I have had no academic or professional training. Oh, also reading, writing, but I shy away from arithmetic.

This verse always makes me smile because, even tho I don’t think I’m lazy, I am usually fearful when I walk outside the door.

I’ve lived with fear most of my life, but no longer. It is a conquered foe; still a foe, mind you, but a conquered one nonetheless. So I can relate!

Ah, I didn’t know. My fears are not completely conquered yet, but God is giving me great victories over it lately. I so much appreciate his power. If I have to leave the house I pray for his strength now. Most times I can go. When I get nervous, even from writing comments to people online, I used to get asthma attacks. I’ve asked him to take that away and he has. I have learned though not to just forget about that prayer and answer. Sometimes a problem returns, so I intend to keep praying about this. My husband is having back surgery and will be home 6 months from work. I will have to leave the house more now. I need God to help me.
