I tend to the side of gullible. I want to trust too quickly. In this offering, Jacob Emet makes me think and be more circumspect. Visit him at: https://jacobemet.wordpress.com/ Once again, HERE’s my disclaimer.
READER BEWARE
Beware the names
Beware the faces
Beware the words
Beware the spaces
Beware the lies
That lie between
Apt words scriven
And truth unseen
Beware the allure
Of thoughts evoked
When buds of reason
Thorns have choked
Beware the bride
Without her groom
Her charm is deadly
Her beauty is doom
Beware the beast
In every man
The cunning wolf
Appears a lamb
Beware the light
Behind the eyes
Heart and mind
Aligned knows lies
Beware the perfect
For there is none
Fullness of earth
Unrighteous undone
Beware the truth
All claim to hold
Not all that glitters
Is refined as gold
Beware the words
Beware the spaces
Beware the names
Beware the faces
Reader beware
Reader beware
The names and the faces
Your sins mask to wear
Drip . . . Drip . . . Drip

Thank you, Dawn.
I have since taken my blog to “private” but allow access upon request.
Call me capricious. 😉
I regard “re-blogs” as the highest form of flattery and I appreciate your readership and hope you’ll continue to follow along with my writing.
I look forward to more of your posts.

Hi, Wally.
I allow interested readers access to my blog, yes. If you’d like, go to my page and “request access.” I’ll approve you.
I’m sorry it’s a bit of a hassle, I’ve just grown tired of the “like” happy bloggers that never take the time to actually read or show interest.
I may one day return to a public setting, but not for a while.
I look forward to your readership. 🙂

That’s an excellent idea and very selfless of you.
I’ve become somewhat self-contained, weary of politicking and senseless ambitions, and have taken a step back for a time.
But you’re more than welcome to anything I’ve written. Think of it as your own.
The truth belongs to no one, but should be acquainted by all. It stands firmly on its own and needs not the defense of anyone or anything.

jacobemet, I noticed in your Poem that you do not believe anyone on earth is Perfect and I agree if we are referring to worldly perfection but do you agree we are to aim to be Perfected in Love as the Scriptures confirm.
Thanking you for your time – Anne

Hi, Anne.
It’s interesting you ask me my personal belief, but I’ll do my best to expound upon that as concisely as I can.
We are not prefect, but we are to strive towards perfection. Perfect love drives out fear, yet as humans, lacking in knowledge of the Divine and prone toward sin, we still fear. Jesus was the only exception. With that as our precedent, we are now revealed as imperfect in love. The love of Jesus is perfect, and by His actions and grace, we are saved, though faith.
“Love covers a multitude of sins.”
There is no greater example of this than Christ, His love, His obedience, His sacrifice.
So while we are unperfect and lacking, we find our wholeness and completion in Christ.
James says to be “doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.”
So we must imitate the example of Christ, the Word of God.
We will never be capable of perfection in and of ourselves, but that’s the beauty and majesty of Jesus.
I do also caution, that we must be “shrewd as serpents and as gentle as doves.” Meaning: Be wary of the claims of “love.”
True love will always align itself with truth and the Word of God.
Love, as this world understands it, is not a true nor perfect love. Therefore, perfect love is what perfects us, but not of or within ourselves. It is always, “the gift of God.” 🙂
I hope that helps. And thank you for your gentility.

Thank you for your response Jacob, I hope Dawn doesn’t mind my sharing with you here, I am following her now as I find she has a good reality on Truth but in future I will respond to you on your own Posts if wanted.
How do you respond to correction Jacob, not many it seems can handle it, their fleshy pride gets in the way as I have discovered since I started Blogging, they would rather reject Scripture when it shows they are in error than admit they are wrong, mostly I’m than ignored, deleted or blocked but I felt after reading your Post messages that your not like them Jacob but I could be wrong.
I always seek to Trust others until they prove to be untrustworthy, they don’t have to earn my Trust first, when they do prove to be unable to be Trusted it does not mean I reject them as people of worth but I hate their evil actions and words and the deception they continue to propagate, especially with those who claim to be Christians, to be honest I have more patience with unbelievers as I know they blindly follow their own guidelines not God’s as I did too when I was an Atheist for nearly 30 years after being deceived as a young Teenager.
Now to the point Jacob…..some of what you said in your reply to me is in error as confirmed in Scripture and it is not just what I think although I believe God’s inspired words 100%, are you willing to accept correction or will I just move on ?, it’s your choice.
Blessings – Anne.

Seems like Pam you reject Scriptural correction Jacob, well at least in regards to aiming to be Perfected in Love, a reality as we can see confirmed below that we can reach, we are to aim for it and God’s Love does not motivate sin either, it’s Righteous, we will walk as Jesus does.
1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but Perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.
Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore Perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is Perfect.
Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto Perfection not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,
1John 4:16-19 And we have known and believed the Love that God hath to us. God is Love; and he that dwelleth in Love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in Love; but Perfect Love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him, because He first Loved us.
Philippians 3:14-16 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as be Perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Nevertheless, where to we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
1John 3 : 9 No one who is Born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been Born of God.
1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth Righteousness is Righteous, even as He is Righteous.
2Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be Perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in Peace; and the God of Love and Peace shall be with you.
Blessings – Anne.

Nor do I pull any punches Pam, I share God’s Truth which is not always what others want to hear, it does not scratch their itching ears.
You need to seek Jesus Pam for His Truth and not Trust in man’s wisdom, logic and reasoning because until you do you will continue to be deceived and teach error too.
