Writer’s Quote Wednesday – Harper Lee

Tends toward TMI, so here's the short list: guitar and banjo (both of which have been much neglected as of late), bicycling (ibid), dogs, very black tea, and contemplating and commenting on deep philosophical thoughts about which I have had no academic or professional training. Oh, also reading, writing, but I shy away from arithmetic. View all posts by dawnlizjones

My wife and I were speaking of this same idea the other day regarding our father’s idea of work. Her father was a tireless worker – he toiled with his hands and his head. My dad was a tireless worker as well, but he chose to work with his head and not his hands – he wrote a book and had a successful career as an engineer, but he rarely worked the yard or did home improvement. Different ideas about work. Thanks for the great idea to jump start my day. It’s gonna be a great day.

Oh so true! I’ve also been challenged with not being afraid to allow God to bring “dirt” up in my life, or from the lives of others, to be “redeemed”, recycled, etc. Thanks so much for commenting!

Hi! I get it! Don’t waste the opportunities handed to you. 😀

Yes! And importantly, sometimes those opportunities look pretty ugly at first…
